Whats your landlord postion, does he want to evict you or does he understand it might take time for it to be sorted out.

Isn't their any supported living placements locally you might be entitled to move into too? You know that works wonders for benefit applications as it shows you need some support around daily living.

I was reading about this £350 a week benefit cap for single people and it appears that includes housing benefit, now my housing benefit is alone is just under £190 because I live in supported housing, thats going to to leave me at least £40 a week worse off. Do you think there'll be any regulations set in were people with high rents will be protected?

You could have your needs assessed by social services and if you meet the criteria you might be offered a place in supported living, I know plenty of people with Aspergers in supported living settings. You need to show they you find it difficult to live independently.

I've been there and got the teeshirt too. Some people live parasitic lifestyles and leech of one person until they find somebody eles to leech off.

Worst-case scenario in the event of homelessness social services have a duty of care especially if your vulnerable to find you appropriate accommodation.
What team does your social worker work for, Vulnerable adults or learning disability? Do you have a appointee or can you appoint your social worker to deal with DWP on your behalf as he'll have more more clout so to speak. Was you on the assessment rate of ESA and has that been stopped along with your housing benefit?

Adult MHT told me I should be entitled to ESA as well as DLA ( my mums my appointee) they said refer me to the correct team to look into this further as only do five hours a week ! On annual contract as lunchtime supervisor do an hour a lunchtime are they correct- would I we entitled to it at all do you know?!
Actually having an appointee was a big help in getting me my DLA, plus it scores you high of the ESA test around managing money.

Yow Dawg!!! You have to been seen my a doctor instead of a 'health care professional' if your on the spectrum so they're going to be more impartial and more qualified in assessing people. Yeah you get me innit dawg.

I would say our highs do differ from 'others' out there as get hooked more easy! @ phantom sneeze - u looked into bi-polar? As they spend lot of money without thinking within "high" mood?
I've got a diagnoses of bipoler, my moods are stable now but before I was very up and down, mostly down but the first manic episode got me diagnosed with bipolar.

Certainly is thats why people do things that please the dopamine receptors in the brain and when I'm in a 'high' mood I can quite easily spend a months money in one go not thinking about the consequences because I like the rush.

I'm currently taking 15mg Aripiprazole and its been very beneficial for me with no adverse side effects, my moods have stabilised and I'm in a fare better place now then before Christmas where I'm was very manic and had to be hospitalised.

Innit man! I've got this uncompromising feeling of dread every time one thinks of this dreaded benefit change over and how I might lose my money, innit. Been on benefits a long time and not really accomplished anything in the ten years I've been claiming so my CV has next to nowt in it so benefits are my only life line and I can't lose them. Have you had to flight for you ESA/DLA?

Does anybody have a cinema card that gets your carer in for free and do you get funny looks or unwanted questions for using it? My support staff are the same age as me and I don't want any embarrassing misunderstandings where the staff think i'm getting my friends in for free.

What medication you taking? They put me on antidepressants and I was being monitored by a community MH team to see how they affected me and they immediately stopped the medication because it sent me hyper-manic, the main symtom of talking really fast and elation. That was two years ago now, Now I'm on antipsychotics.

From my experience doctors never give you straight answers. It was only until I was in a manic phase that I was diagnosed with bipolar on paper at least, I asked my doctor if I had bipolar and she said I differently have a mood disorder but wasn't sure if I had bipolar, so why would they write down I have bipolar.

Alcohol cost my father not only his life but everything he worked hard for, diagnosed with alcohol related dementia at 66 he slowly deteriorated and placed into a care home, he had to sell his home to pay for the care costs until near the end when he needed nursing care then social services payed, but there was nothing left for his children by then, innit mofos.
