sesley Report post Posted September 23, 2009 http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2009/sep...me-side-effects for side affects for other things, but we were advised years ago by our nutritionist that anything with aspartame, could be part of his hyper activity,so now i check labels for aspartame in his food and drink, though it is usually in diet stuff, which need sweetners with aspartame. now i avoid diet stuff for him and forget about the sugar content in stuff, since he is lean anyway. NobbyNobbs Report post Posted September 23, 2009 (edited) the orange supermarket sweeten all their diet and no added sugar drinks (fizzy and squash) with a non-aspatame sweetner (can't remember which one). aspartame poisoning is a (poorly) recognised medical condition in america which causes IBS type symptoms as well as other things. BusyLizzie100 Report post Posted September 23, 2009 Personally I can't stand the taste of anything with aspartame in it! I can even taste if it's been used in a packet of crisps. I hate it! Yuck!
