Mumble Report post Posted August 25, 2011 Wonder if someone can help me on whether this is normal policy and if so what I can do about it. I've got to go and have a day procedure at he hospital. No problem, I'm used to hospitals. However, they're going to sedate me and they've sent me a letter saying I must take someone with me who can accompany me home afterwards and stay with me for 24 hours in case of complications, or I can't have the procedure. I don't have anyone I can ask to do that, so what do I do? Surely I can't be the only Billy-No-Mates in the world?
Suze Report post Posted August 25, 2011 They are treating you as a day case, however if you have no one that can stay and look after you , you may have to be admitted and stay in overnight ...I would speak to someone at the hospital and check .Best wishes suzex
