elaine1 Report post Posted October 30, 2005 anyone see the breif last week, how many times lately has ppl with AS been portrayed as violent, and a risk to others in cop or crime programmes. It seems to be the fashion lately to have an aspie who killed his mother as in the brief, or who harmed someone else. I am worried that kids who go to school with my son see these programmes and think he is going to harm someone or goad him into getting angry to see what he does next. Isnt life difficult enough for our kids without portraying them as violent people. I dont think this raises public awareness at all, the programme always makes out that it was a mistake but the violent label has already been imprinted before they do that.
