Flora Report post Posted November 11, 2005 Hi all, On Wednesday me and my AS son made our local news. They did a main feature on the educational difficulties, mental health issues etc that autistic children often have as a result of poor mainstream provision, it was really good. I will soon be getting two copies of the item so if anyone was interested in seeing it I can send a copy to be sent on to interested people then make it's way back to me. tinminer Report post Posted November 15, 2005 (edited) Inclusionist educational policies were never designed by anyone with AS/autism. It DOES NOT work! Rant over...... Glad to see you got some worthy media coverage to highlight this Lauren! Edited November 15, 2005 by tinminer
mandyque Report post Posted November 16, 2005 I have grave reservations about inclusion too for a number of reasons. Well done you Lauren for doing the article, I hope it gets some good results
