Bard Report post Posted November 26, 2007 HURRAH! I've found out why I couldn't see emoticons, or add people to my friends list. Or change the size or colour of my text. Or anything really interesting. I've only been using the internet for three or four years, and I was shown how to use internet explorer, and Google. And there my knowledge stopped. I was too busy having to learn about Interactive whiteboards and Moodles and stuff. I just logged on here using Safari instead, and now I've got all the bells and whistles that you lot have always had. Next step...an ipod. Or ebay. I've never been there...! baddad Report post Posted November 26, 2007 Ermmmm or you could have just upgraded to internet explorer 7 from 4 or whatever it was you were running L&P BD
Bard Report post Posted November 26, 2007 In order to upgrade, you have to know that there's something better out there. And I really didn't. I just thought it was a mac/PC problem, like when I forget to make something a .doc and when I transfer it to a PC, the text comes up as little boxes instead. You're looking at a person who is delighted to be using 4 fingers to type with instead of two, like last year.

Bard Report post Posted November 26, 2007 Safari is when you're using a toy computer instead of a proper one...... Simon You had your chance, back in the 80s. I survived LOGO! I love my Mac, easy to use, little spam and I don't have a helpline/IT helpig person because my Mac has never let me down. It also doesn't come with all that Nerdspeak, modems and stuff with metres of wiring. Or viruses It's as easy to use as a toaster, which I believe was one of the original criteria. I have PCs at work
