Thank you I'm only 24 and not thinking of having children yet but in a very stable relationship. It won't stop me having children at all in fact I'm excited to have children I'd just like to know the chance so I can be prepared. I'll look into the genetic counselling - thank you for your help.

Hi I'm new to all this but was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice. My older brother has Asperger's Syndrome and my nephew has been diagnosed with it too. I recently told a friend of mine who brought it to my attention that it could be genetic. I never really thought about it before as I'm not thinking of having children soon but wanted to know if there are any tests I could have either now or when/if I get pregnant. Just wondering
