  1. Hi I am new to the forum ( hope this is the right section to post in) please bear with me i need to fill in some background information so that my situation can be understood, My family background consist's of people who are either very very clever, professors or engineers or people who have diffiuclties, my brother has speech, occupational and hearing therapy, I have a specific learning disorder but was also move up two years in primary as I was too far ahead of the other kids. I am now 35, have insomnia, food phobia, sensory issues particulary with light and smell and am happy with one friend, in fact i hate going out or having people over, I have five kids and the older two seem to have diffiulties much greater than mine, bio boy puts on a huge act at school and melts down almost daily with the stres, he has a quiet space at school due to his tendancy to run off when angry, he is obsessive, has a fantastic route memory, flat feet, lazy eye and lose joints. is waiting to see cahms and is going through CAF, the play therapist feels he is normal, the psychologist feels he has detachment disorder, and the school just get on with it and see no problem with making adjustments, if it was not for his spontaneus actions I would not bother with assesment but feel he needs it for his own protection. Little miss has a spesific learning diffiulty and will be assesed for dyslexia and dysphraxia, I have been accused of putting my own feelings onto her however her problems are real, I don't make her fall down constantly, stimm, etc, she has every indicator of dysphraxia on the list except poor posture, They wont belive I am happy and like myself which is annoying and keep slating me as a parent, ignore the genetic link, ignore the fact my other 3 are all perfectly normal and act like kids difficultys are new , bio boy was being brought home by police at the age of six and is now 11. Is this how things are normaly done, feel very confused and don't really see the point in carrying on if this is going to be the attitude. I cant get a pead to see him as we don't have any qualified to dx in this area so have to go through cahms but am not happy at how we are being treated can anyone give me some advice on how to deal with these people Anni-bits
