can anyone tell me as to wot all the short names are eg ds etc etc so confused

my son was diagnosed yesterday as having asd (possibly tourettes and dyslexia still to be tested) the psychologist said he had a score of 16 the cut off being 10. Does anyone know what this scale is or means? my brain was numb at the time and didn't ask, how far does the scale go 20,30,40,....... i don't think his asd is very bad but his behaviour at times is very challenging, it has taken till now aged 12 to diagnose him any one know????

Hi All My 12 year old son has just been diagnosed as having ASD after years of my thinking something wasn't quite right..I also have two daughters who seem fine but struggle with their brothers constant 'bad' behaviour. Can anyone tell me the best way to discipline a 12 year old who has Asd. I find when on his own one to one his behaviour is very good, it is only around others or if he's stressed out he gets out of had and has rages etc
