Hi everyone i am 26 and live with my partner and 3 children however my 6 year old son has some worrying problems that are causing concern. Apologies if i ramble on from the first moment my son sat up he rocked to and fro evrywhere in his buggy in his cot sat playing even eating at the table this made us wonder if something was wrong he would wake up in the morning his babygro would have blood along the spine where he rocked and banged his back against the bars of his cot yet not once did he cry or feel pain he has no sense of danger freaks out at loud noises has development delay and a violent temper however is reading 4 years above his age and spelling somewhere near but has only just learnt to write his name in the last few months. When he becomes angry he will lash out bite kick scream punch etc anyone including teachers siblings and me. he has been sent home from school twice in three days for being violent (throwing tables chairs computers) he even threw a chair at his headteacher and injured her knee. he has been accepted for a statutory assessment which apparantly is happening now we are working with the school senco parent partnership social services camhs ed psych and anyone else there is he has seen a speech therapist neurologist paediatrician ENT and numerous trips to the GP. The biggest concern is that we have suspected some kind of ASD for years now but no professional seems to want to admit that is the case am i over reacting ? or has someone else been here. i would appreciate any comments from professionals or parents who have been through or going through because we feel completely alone Please help !
