  1. BTW sorry about all the typo's - very late and too tired to correct spelling mistakes - hope all makes sense!
  2. My brother has a 14 year old son who lives in Texas with his mum and their family. He comes over to visit for between 6-8 weeks in the summer and at Christmas. My brother doesn't have a permanent job and stays with my mum when his son visits so that he can works and share the care of my nephew with my mum. The reality is that my 65 year old mum has to take many days and weeks off work to look after her grandson. I help out when I can. As a result my nephew spends a lot of time watching DVD's or with his grandma, which is obviously quite wearing for her. Bascially as my nephew doesn't live here he hasn't established any friendships and is obviously to vulnerable to have friendships with non aspergers peers. I have tried to find out about any youth groups for aspergers teens in Sussex but there doesn't seem to be much out there that's appropraite. What he really needs is a friend/ pen pal that he can meet up with when he's here. He's a very polite, friendly boy, who likes vampire fiction, Family Guy, Simpsons, charity shops, current obsession is ghosts. He has a good sense of humour and is quite good at playing and interacting with younger children up to about 10 ish. I have seen a post similar to this on here and someone reccomended NAS befriending, but he doesn't need a non aspergers befriender, he needs a real aspergers friend! Can anyone help? many thanks in advance
