  1. Many thanks! We haven't see our GP since we got a diagnosis from CAMHS. We'll waiting for the physio assesment.
  2. Thank you Tally! Bid, I'll try to find Piedro! Thanks! LisaKaz Oooo, I need to expand my dictionary! Thanks you too!!!
  3. Many thanks for your answer! He is six years old and has difficulties with running and walking, his ankle-joints are a bit loose (is it the right phrase?) need some support now. You can buy high-ankle shoes for the kids in my original country, because this is recommended by the doctors. I'm looking for not so special shoes, just a simple one, which can support his ankles.
  4. I'm looking for something like this: Siesta Shoes or this: Supy shoes But these are a bit far from here.
  5. We've got a diagnosis to our son in friday. It is official, he is on the autism scale. The doctor suggested us, we need to buy new shoes for him (high-ankle boots, sandals) which helps him to walk correctly (keeps the ankle on a right position). Have you any ideas, where i can find special shoes, sandals for him? Any special suppliers? Many thanks!
  6. Oooh Duckie, this is a really hard time for you. How old is she? Cs. (age six) has a heavy tick (blinking and grimacing) when it starts, I sit on the floor a bit close to him, and I start speaking slowly and a bit melodic. Sometimes the earmuff helps him because the noise annoyed him. And I wait... A bit later I sit closer and closer and try to hug him. I'm not sure this will work for you, but maybe...

Ooohh 'much, much faffing' Thanks for all your advice and words! I'm a foreigner here, I've just met the professionals not parents. I think this forum is a good sign in our life.

Oh, Thank You Flappyfish, You are really nice and helpful! He's been in the School Plus program, and we've met a "hundreds" of specialist, educational psychologists from the Council, SENCO, special needs assistants, pediatricians, neurologist. And we are now waiting for the new appointment (CAMHS psychiatrist). But I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel... Maybe you understand me here...

Hello, I'm so happy to find this forum because I'm stressed and really tired now. We have two kids, our little son (he'll be six in February) has asperger (maybe). He was always special, we know something is different with him. When he was two I reported my feelings to the Health Visitor and our GP, but they said: this is normal. But wasn't. There was sooo many signs. When he was 4,5 he showed a really hard tick (unstoppable). We went to the neurologist, she made an EEG in sleep (to excludes the possibility of epilepsy). In April 2010, we took him to a psychologist (in my homeland), that was just a "brainstorming" because we were a bit confused, and she suggested to us a book (Attwood - Asperger S.). Now we are in the system here. First, we went to a special unit, but he was too old (more then five) to get a diagosis (when the whole thing finished)... Since then we had a few meetings in the CAMHS, but nothing happened. I'm soo tired... more then four years we tried so hard to help him... but nobody helps us (except the school - the Primary School and the teachers are amazing!) Sorry, this wasn't a normal and happy greetings...
