My DS3 has been told since jan he was'nt sitting any bar science on monday his teacher informed me he was going to get him to sit all BUT if they can't understand his writing as long as DS3 tells them what he's put the teacher will then write it on the paper what it really says , No dx for DS3 but re-applying for a statement and i think he will fail his SATS , its to much pressure for kids IMO and they really don't need it

i asked for one for K and L , both were ignored so we went lawyers anyway they gave L a statement and K a note in lieu , k1 already has a statement but specialist sorted that one but as big k has'nt progressed so we are re-appling for a assessment again

K had to see cafcass with his dad and she said she was expecting a english child took dad ages to get her to realise that he is english but as his american accent is so strong people are now not believing us , does a good job of repeating tv word for word

we use capsules into his yoghurt he still does'nt know he has it as he's never tasted it before but give it a right good mix

Is it a matter of independence or is the problem that the TA is not being covered for loo and tea breaks? The latter was an issue at Ms school....

My sons first TA at primary was a bit like that, she actually cured him of some of his autism ...........silly moo .He was supposed to have support at dinner time, but she hosted a prayer meeting (it was a faith primary school) and meditated with other staff...........still makes my blood boil now ............thankfully the staff who look after him now are fabthanks , find some things blooming frustrating

Ours did it when he went nursey but if your unsure ask the nursey

K got a new TA yesterday and while she's very nice i feel she's pushing me into a corner K has full support even at play and dinner , she asked me tonight to take him into the play ground in morning and leave him unattened (he's 7 by the way) i said no she said he can put his own coat on so should be able to be left for 5 minutes unattended but i said no way , so she said we will work on it , so why do i feel like ###### ? i want him to be indepandant but left alone , don't even leave K2 who's 11 on his own

<'> Hi,O is very noisy - he sings and hums a lot - always accompanied by lots of jumping on the spot. He has labels for things that are important to him and, like Mandy's daughter, he knows some sentences that he copied while using pecs. He also uses echolalia so if you say to him 'do you want a drink O?' he will repeat back 'do you want a drink O?' He can learn songs very quickly but the words have limited meaning for him. He was completely non verbal until aged 3 and then the songs and echolalia started. If people ask me 'Can O speak?' I find it's quite difficult to explain to people. Yes he can form words but there's so much more to communication! We are yet to have a 'conversation!' But I live in hope. He is 6 now

K is the same and is 7 , he did talk about 18 months and stopped at two and half , most of his speech now is copied from tv with a wicked american accent , if we say K don't do that he says K don't do that
My nephew is 9 next week and is non-verbal and still in nappies and uses a feeding cup

We had same problem last term we spoke to TA nothing happened so we went to headmaster and the book , visual timetable and work station were put into place , you can at anytime call a review but first speak to head if that does'nt work call a review , does he get 1 on 1 in breaks and dinner maybe would be a good time to ask for one
good luck
