Could not be more annoyed right now! Hospital just phoned and apparently we were meant to be there at 9.30 this morning for 1st ADOS assessment... I havent had an appointment letter so knew nothing about it
royal mail = Useless!!-
Oh and to add we have only been waiting for this appt for 3 and a half years..............

Had first asd diagnosis appointment today, Jack spent the whole time walking round and round the sofa with his hand over his mouth breathing heavily enough it made a grunting noise.... It was an hour long appt! Showing his true colours for them to see.

Oh and did not say 1 word either, just walked and walked and grunted. So i didnt really need to explain the odd behaviours...

My son is DANGEROUS!

Yea, nothing happened. I just meant hes a danger to himself. He had been walking on the curb, as if it was a tight rope and wouldnt listen to me saying it was dangerous because he was to close to the road and could easilt fall in to the road etc. I kept pulling him away but he went back again. Just worrying he still doesnt recognise danger even when i explain it over and over x

So frustrated with sons school again, they are not taking his learning problems very seriously... not sure what to do! Can just keep him there or keep him there and put back a year or move to a better school?!?!?!

I mean, they tell me hes delayed by 2 years in comparison to his peers in some areas, but hes not getting any extra support?????

I would like the school to take his probably ASD more seriously, and to realise that it will be a life long condition and he will need extra support. I just feel they are not taking it seriously enough!

So this convo just happened! Me- Jack Nanny's dog has died, so you wont see her next time you visit nanny... Jacks- "Oh". Me- Nanny's dog wasnt very well and now shes gone, you wont be able to throw the ball for her next time you go to nanny's, poor dog. Jack no response so I ask... are you happy or sad? Jack - Happy.

hes only 4 and a half though, is this not normal for his age? he tells me when hes sad... if hes upset about not getting his own way hesometimes will say "mummy im angry at you" so he has some understanding of his emotions. He says he "happy" and also "not happy". But angry, sad and happy are the only ones he uses.

Yes that will be interesting! My grandad, his great grandad died in January and he still doesnt seem to understand that either. He was talking about him today as if he was still alive...!

Yes thats true with bed time here too! Well, that bath time did not end well... he had an accident in the bath and then needed a shower to get clean!

so we are having a few accidents still at home, but still so much better than he was, i think we have cracked it!

Its going ok, still having accidents but also making it to the toilet other times without needing to be asked
but night time wetting still happening every night so that will prob take a while yet. What age did your son manage to stay dry in the day? Jack is already 18 months later than his older brother was, he was dry without accidents at 3 yrs. x

toilet trained in the day now! Im in shock! still needing nappies at night and has the odd accident but doing so well

funny how they suddenly get the hang of it after months/years of us trying to teach them with no luck! So pleased!

Such a struggle tonight, hes asleep now, no school for him tomorrow after the stressed out state hes been in tonight. Will be phoning the paediatrician or school nurse for advice tomorrow. Left with a massive headache!

i hope he does! He tells me to leave him alone or go away mummy a lot of the time. I havve to beg for hours for a hug! Just so different to my other boys who live hugs :/

Maybe, but usually its really nice there so it would be a shame. Maybe give it a few weeks, try again and if its the same never go back. We miss the soft play where we use to live, it was a lovely small quiet place and quite often just our family there! X

She was heavily pregnant and was ranting at my kids saying they had hit her daughter... Poor jack didnt know what was happening and my eldest was adiment that the girl had tried to kick and punched him! One word for it, chav! We had to leave soft play early, but i mannaged to get a full refund due to bullying so not all that bad! Thanx

im just fed up with all the horrible stuff that happens in this world! I had a parent being nasty to Jack and his older brother today at soft play and its made me in a bad mood. x
