  1. So you no longer have a keyworker/advocate? I had my social work support cut, and in last few years lost my funded support workers and even recently they closed local autism group and local council refused to fund it.

Yes it has all gone, Fortunate as it maybe I have found a self employed way out- not bad for someone with chronic stomach problems and no support at all any more.

Let this be a warning to others DWP have planned to make situation impossible, it doesn't matter that there are years of NHS records, the MP's word didn't stop DWP from steam rollering me.

I got left in a situation where NOBODY verified my current health and simply a P45 through the post from DWP.

Screw the DWP as HMRC were amazing at being human and not trying to trick me when I asked about self employed after explaining I had no option and not a clue how to start.

The net result if I can carry on doing 13 hours a week at £12 hour I should be no worse off.

If I can't manage who knows

  2. It seems that DWP can't read notes from MP, that Diagnosed Autism is cured by a financial cut and fact I no longer have a Keyworker or advocate- I'M cured, God bless the Tory scum.

I'm at point I don't want or need to play DWP twisted games, so I burnt all the excrement they sent through door.

Personally relieved not to be under their thumb and manipulated

  3. Planning a self employed business that bank have agreed is feasible, asked about Access to work and told have to be working to get it?

How can you work and apply for it when you can't get the support without a Job and need support to do the job?

    Backward as ever?

Tried to change address with JCP, what a joke that was- got key worker to deal with the morons at JCP as they are not worth my time

  4. Well my current situation is this

    1) nothing EVER good has come from DWP interaction and as the envelope was hand written-it likely won't be computerised.

    2) the worse, than useless Keyworker wrote to tell me that I am cured ( quite how this is with written childhood diagnosis?) and to be honest the Advocates have always been kind and more use to me than the Keyworker ever was.

    3) I fully expect further grief from DWP as they are incapable of any insight of my abilities and disabilities and seem only to relish causing distress and hardship.

    4) I'm hanging in there and trying to live as normal a life as possible.

ESA support group is how the advocate is funded.

  5. After getting MP to get DWP to go fourth and multiply and put a note on my file.

3months or more ago another ESA50 drops through door

How many times do these retards need the same thing filled in, anyway I Couldn't face it so binned it-heard nothing more and the envelope was hand written- there is no profit in dealing with DWP.

I've a new advocate as funding was cut for previous advocacy group, awaiting next lot of grief from DWP and Magnus health scum.

  6. My reaction is however well meaning you are unless the child is yours, it is best to avoid any advice or contact.

Sadly, however well meaning or innocent your advice was it puts you in a dangerous area.

If you wish to give advice to someone why your unsure of age, it would be better to say it in an open forum or post information links in an open forum.

  7. NAS are over 80% government funded and are a pile of dog muck in my experience as useless as a chocolate tea pot.

If you have bounty on your head and detained under mental health act-£££££

    Otherwise they are SCUMBAGS

If it hadn't been for MP I would have been destitute, NAS knew and offered NOTHING as they are in bed with DWP/Government.

Im quite looking forward to the next time a chugger accostes me to tell them where to go

  8. I've spoken to the solicitors and while they seem keen to offload my inheritance in a lump I'm not so sure.

The bad bit is the money sits in a zero interest account with solicitors.

I have bought my home off landlord at a low market value and ex landlord said they have connections if I need advice or maintenance.

Landlords building insurance company mirrored the no claims on my property to me so I have buildings insurance

I have asked for a sum to be paid into my account and I will get a monthly transfer organised to my bill's account at same level as I would have had before.

I'm hoping this acts as a buffer while I find a property to invest the money in and a rental income which I have properties emailed to me to look at and decide what may be suitable to instruct solicitors to do normal convaencing on.

I have also contacted my key worker to get him to tell DWP my situation as I find DWP incompetent and narcissistic whenever I try to talk to them it ends badly.

I'm trying to look on positive side that I now own my own home,DWP and IDS can no longer make me destitute with their frankly genocidal reforms.

Mainly the disruption of routine makes me edgy about change.

  9. My brother has been dealing with solicitors and I have simply left them to get on with it until I know what I may get.

I'm looking forward to telling DWP to go and jump,in fact nothing would give me greater pleasure than to do so right now.

It appears that I will be able to buy my property off landlord for a reasonable price

    (solicitors would sort that)

I'm just not sure how to proceed as serveral hundred thousand at some point, would a rental property with tennant management agent give me a reasonable income?

I'm not keen on stock market investments as I see it as gambling with fees and loss of capital.

I'm still feeling a journey into unknown, I'm not really sure what income I currently have and have direct debits for bills.

My family seem to see this as a positive situation, but as adverse to change- I'm not so sure.

Guess I really should get some more info, just still feeling shell shocked.

  10. I have seen the will, it's complicated as multiple gifts to family members in percentages with rest split between my brother and myself after some sort of loan repayment/mortgage payment.

My landlord was very understanding when DWP did their very best to make me homeless, I think if I could afford to buy where I live this would be smart move.

The bit I haven't got and really need is a final figure before I recieve it- nothing would please me more than to have private means and tell DWP to go fourth.

I think the advocate idea may be an excellent one, as I want to find out without feeling I'm being rail roaded.

I too suffer from letter, communications that take for ever to get opened- I put the bills on direct debit as it's easiest way to sort without outside intervention.

My main worry is disengagement from DWP, though with my brother currently and he suggests MP again if DWP start their usual behaviour.

  11. After being stitched up and requiring MP to intervene with DWP and Local NHS who were at best described as malicious and extremely manipulative failing to recognise NHS specialist's letters I was housebound and ill.

I've been told I have fibromyalgia symptoms and the carrier bag full of prescription medicines have over time brought my strengh back and I can get out and about.

I still suffer times of chronic fatigue and need to sleep 2 or 3 hours at short notice- extremely frustrating.

The issue I have is a parent passed away and I believe from what I'm told I will recieve some money- how much I'm not sure.

I believe my direct payments will cease and obviously any current entitlement, I'm kind of shell shocked as to what to do.

There is a Disabled rights charity locally or citizens advice- both I have concerns will drop me in it / trust issues.

Currently I haven't received a penny from solicitors and find talking with them difficult.

I'm led to believe that they have disposed of property assets of my parent with executors of will-

I just need someone impartial to talk to?

I'm unsure of amount liable to be given to me- but think property type value as talk of buying my own place off landlord a possibility.

I'm neither well enough to work and I find stress makes me ill- HELP PLEASE the inheritance just complicates my life.

If I become asset rich and cash poor- what do I live on?

  12. I'm simply thinking of you getting stung by the tax man for 'working' whilst on benefits.

Make sure you know what you are doing. You might be able to get away with a 'hobby' interest for sales under a certain amount. But at some point, you may need to decide if you are going to make a go of it full time, and whether to be a sole trader or a limited company. My Accountant gave us advice for zero to help us set up properly. He has charged £400 for the year end books, which were quite complicated TBH. And he hasn't charged me anything on top for all the advice he gives, and his advice saves us and the company alot of pounds. So i'm not complaining.

We also could not get any loan from anywhere. So we used our savings - not alot. And the rest I have bought on balance transfers on credit cards, and when that balance runs out I simply move the balance to another zero percent offer. I know you cannot get credit, and again that might be something you need to work on. And it might be simple things like having a bank account, utilities in your name, being on the postal register to vote etc.

I have a bank account, I have utilities in my name, I don't do electoral roll or voting or census or any of that as I don't like being treated like livestock.

I have zero intention of doing anything other than basic records that show I haven't made a penny yet. I simply do not trust authorities to see I wish to better myself. I know you may not agree, but after being stitched up less than a year ago I have no faith in integrity of any authority.

I haven't tried to get a loan, though I know I'm pre approved for 25k loan which is ridiculous via an associate I have known for years- even though I dont have means to pay it back.

I really hope it works, but if it doesn't worse case is IVA via CAB and 2 years you walk away clear.

I'm sorry if I sound militant, but society has rode ruff shod over me and I'm sick of it.

On the plus side I have 3 sales and several deposits.

  13. Hello

On a topic. Prince's trust has two branches, the second is for Mature Enterprise (over 50). Your business idea, from my point of view, sounds quite risky and, consequently, a business plan, I recon, is the first necessary goose step. Nobody in the right mind would give a loan for a business proposal without proper risk estimation.

Last year we've met a young millionaire who've made 4.5 mil in 4 years. A student, he estimated zero probability of taking a loan, sold his old cheap car and invested a small sum in his first business idea. That young man is amazingly infections with positivism and pragmatism. He sees business opportunities where other see nothing or just problems. Yes, he sold his first business and now has another 2 + a few more ideas.

How about a different business model without taking any loans? Is there anything you REALY like? Really passionate about ?

    :)

I'm 30-40 age group, nobody would give me a loan-credit card ask zero questions and if stuff doesn't turn up their problem not mine under section 75 consumer credit act.

I've waited years on false promises and simply if it becomes a problem IVA and walk away from it upto 15k

  14. Well good luck with it.

Just make sure you keep good records of your costs and sales.

At the moment are you doing it has a private buyer/seller? Because at some point you will need to think about what you are doing and if it affects benefits, or whether it is worth registering as a business. I presume you could get working tax credit, especially as you probably fulfill the 'disability' element of that.

My husband and I have our own business. At the moment we are paying ourselves a minimum way, actually less than the minimum wage, and sometimes no wage. But we are on WFTC, so that helps. We do have a couple of employees now and although we are not in profit, we are expanding rapidly, so should be in profit next year or the year after.

After my experience of DWP the only contact I will be having with them will be a 4 letter and a 3 letter word if I can make this work.

I've researched the market, I have a niche and I certainly would look at every method of tax minimisation self employed even a ltd with zero interest loans.

I hate being written off as a burden on society and aim to do whaever it takes, I know how to work the feckless lying dwp-I caught them out before and unless they can prove a profit-they can't do a thing

  15. The DWP and 99.999% of the Job Centre staff know nothing about business and self employment so it's a waste of time discussing it with them. This is also why I'm so against the DWP being brought into the situation for self employed people on Working Tax Credits when (or if) it is replaced by Universal Credit.

Quite simply my health means that I'm unemployable, who would employ someone who simply can't get to a 9-5 job as flat on back and housebound from time to time, or fast asleep with exhaustion and wide awake at 4am.

I have previous sales and business experience, via email and parcel collection from house means it is viable in theory.

I'd love to say where and what it is, but I fear being stitched up before I have even started

A friend has kindly given server space and helped set up website.

  16. Is there a definite market for this electronic item?

Can you start small scale or would you need to be able to provide vast quantities of this product to any potential client?

Have you made contact with any potential clients and were they interested?

Do you need any special kind of permit to import?

Small scale and no harder than buying on ebay, already started and preparing to take the chance- not in profit, but some sales already.

Have to try it and if it doesn't work so be it

  17. Even if you don't actually want to take the money, you should consider going through the application process for the Enterprise Allowance and so on. You may be able to get free advice on things like writing a business plan that you may find invaluable. Once you can present a credible business plan other routes to funding may open up for you.

I would have thought that the sort of business you describe could be started very cheaply - you clearly need a small amount of stock and then to find a way to sell it (can you start up on ebay?)

Quite simply the Enterprise Allowance is worthless, the job centre staff in prior experience are moronic.

I have previous business and sales experience, website cost £6 and credit card company ask no questions.

After dwp did their very best to make me homeless and atos got caught out with proof they lied- I have zero faith in them.

I have an outlet, website is up and running and worse case I make a loss-I will have to pay it back bit by bit each month as looked at £1000-£2000 stock

My plan if it works will allow flexibility as I still get chronic fatigue, stuck in house etc- but I think it is possible to still do it as I can get courier collection from my place.

I can't think any employer would want someone who crashes out asleep for 2-3 hours, get's periods of stuck in house ill- still wireless printing has it's advantages.

I don't want to be parked on benefits wasting my life away, my ill health the GP and specialist don't see me as employable- I have to try through as I feel a prisoner in my own home left to rot.

  18. Hi all I have various health issues which from time to time I end up house bound. I have been treated extremely badly by dwp in past and it took my local MP to fix 2 months of no money.

I'm desperate to try out a business idea, but looking at Enterprise allowance and Access to work guidlines both offer nothing and 10% loan and no money risk is too great.

So I have decided to go it alone and can prove expenditure and fact I haven't made a penny yet, my market is importing an electronics item and selling it.

It's a shame the Job Centre/dwp are not supportive, but I can't face more hassle on something that until I try may not be viable and being treated like scum for considering it.

I also find it tragic that due to verified ill health any official assistance is vindictive and your seen as liar for simply wanting to better yourself.

I'm too old for princess trust and I do not see any value in enterprise allowance scheme-it looks like I have little choice in discussion or advice other than this forum unless anyone else has ideas.

  19. So far ignoring them completely has proved successful as in my area the nhs trust oversee the council assessment and co fund direct payments.

My local nhs foundation trust are vindictive and there is no benefit to their interference, I got so peeved and poor I burnt all the direct payments paper work and simply pay hired help via cheque.

I recently recieved a news letter and junk from Enham trust, from prior experience of so called help I'm deeply suspicious.

I find there completely irrelevant news letters annoying and called to ask them to stop.

While the direct payments keep coming and no annoying paperwork works for me.
