i was in my garden,my son 3yrs was next door.as i was talking to the neighbour my boy climbed into the swimming pool.he had to be resusitated.that was the first and last time hes been allowed out.my 5 yr old is only just started to go out (only to next door).

its noise that sets me off.so its pretty much unavoidable.cant stand being touched either .reletives wont take the kids.not much support really.

im an adult whos just been diagnosed with mild aspergers.i have 3 young children ,one has aspergers.i am struggling with my kids .i have quite a few meltdowns a day.just wonderin if theres any adults that have been in my situation that can give any advice on copin with day to day living as an adult with aspergers with young children.

i have a three year old with aspergers.he was exactly the same.he used to answer yes to everyting.then he progressed to copying off the tv.now to some extent he can hold full conversations.if he echos you repeat to him the answer you were expecting.he dosent do it because you dont talk a lot.he does it because he doesnt know the appropriate words to respond.the more you talk to him ,the more hes absorbing.just keep talking to him.TIP;when talking to him wait for his reply .he might take long time to reply.(his brains trying to process the question and tryin to figure out the answer)Dont worry ,he will get there in the end!
