  1. This is my first post.I would like to hear from anyone with Asperger's who has been claiming Incapacity Benefit and has been sent a reassesment form and had to attend a medical under the government's new drive to get people off Incapacity and on to Jobseeker's Allowance.I have recently been through this and have been informed that i no longer qualify for Incapacity Benefit as i am fit for work.I am 44 and have never worked and have been on Incapacity Benefit since 1999 having been advised to claim it as i could'nt handle the stress of attending the Restart training course i was sent on which was a requirement of claiming Jobseeker's Allowance. All the time i have been on Incapacity Benefit i have'nt recieved any help ,not even a leaflet through the door and now they tell me i'm suddenly supposed to be well and should apply for Jobseeker's Allowance.I asked them to look at the decision again and included more supporting information about my condition ,but they have replyed saying i have'nt scored enough points and they won't change their original decision.Ido have the right to make a further appeal (in person)but am concerned at the time it would take as i am not recieving any benefits during these appeal processe's.I do not feel capable of holding down a job let alone the stress of attending interview's/course's and the like that would be a requirement of sighning a Jobseeker's Agreement and thus claiming Jobseeker's Allowance.Frankly i have seriously been concidering suicide as i feel so desperate, either that or go on the street's.Perhap's the government would see this as a way of getting the number's down before the next election.Ifanyone has any suggestion's or can offer any other support i would be most grateful.Thank's.
