JenRose Report post Posted November 4, 2006 Just a question really for those who have been through this. DD is currently under asessment at the CDC re her hemiplegia and also as they suspect ASD. But, someone told me that they like to do a nursery visit before they dx, we live in between 2 hospitals, the nearest one to us (and the better of the 2) is where DD is having her assessment but the other one comes under our local health authority. If they want/need to do a nursery visit then we wont get a dx from our chosen hospital as they wont cross into our health district which is where DD,s nursery comes under. I dont really know much about the dx process at the hospitals as M was seen by CAMHS last year not the CDC and then we had him privately assessed. Does anyone know and could please tell me what the procedure is of the CDC when it comes to dx,ing an ASD? Her usual Paed that we have been seeing for a year has told us in his opinion that she is on the spectrum but the has referred us to the developmental paed - hence the CDC asessment. Hope what i have written makes sense!!!! Thanks
