JenRose Report post Posted January 13, 2007 Well yesterday i had a phonecall from R,s early years specialist health visitor. She had read the report that the CDC had done on Rosie. She asked me to consider referring Rosie to the NHS hospital that most children use in our area, (we are between 2 areas and are allowed to go to either) She suggested that the child psychiatrist who saw M a year ago and who we had trouble with look at R and asess her. Now, i know i dont always understand things, but R has been asessed and has a dx of social and communication problems and hemiplegia. So why does she need to be reasessed by the other hospital dept? I said to the HV that i wanted R to stay with the CDC she is currently under and she said she was sure that it would be ok. Surely its up to us as her parents to decide what Paed sees R? I think this is because the other hospital come under the same district as the LEA and liase with each other. They have a very cosy relationship with one another as we discovered when M was being asessed. Surely the LEA will have to accept what the Paed from the other hospital is saying about R? Confused, sorry
