elainem Report post Posted March 30, 2007 Hi Curra, I have very little knowledge in this area but would the Disability Rights Commission be able to assist you. Surely any action taken against you/your family would be discriminatory if it was as a result of your ds AS? Elaine
curra Report post Posted March 30, 2007 Thanks Clare <'> <'> <'> Karen, it is harrassment as I suspected in the beginning. Their last note was very offensive. I'm keeping all their notes in a file. Elaine, The housing association has an equality policy that includes the disability rights. They have to abide by them or at least they say so! We'll see.... curra Report post Posted March 31, 2007 Elaine, Thanks for mentioning the DRC. I have contacted them to ask for advice because it does seem to me that there is discrimination in this case, I mean from the housing association because they are not recognisising my son's problems as a medical condition. I have also contacted the NAS for advice. Curra
