av16 Report post Posted October 13, 2007 My son 10 AS continued to laugh after the whole class were told they were to miss play - now he's going to miss all of next week. Unfortunately new teacher so I have spoken to her and now she realises his problems. Disappointed the school haven't shared the work he did with specialist teachr and psych last year. It's going to be a difficult week!
Nic m Report post Posted October 13, 2007 hi av16, this does not seem very fair to me, a week? My daughter laughs at inappropriate moments and i am sure this is to do with nerves i would ask the teacher if she could review this, what has your son said about this? Cat Report post Posted October 13, 2007 So your son is to suffer because of mistakes made by the school not passing on information and also a teacher who does not want to loose face. I don't think so. Now that the teacher is aware she needs to make reasonable adjustments as the law states. I would not be having a difficult week if I were you. witsend Report post Posted October 13, 2007 Hi - well no it's not fair, but think I'd be inclined to let this one go now. If you've already spoken to teacher and she is unlikely to make the same mistake again then it may be counter productive to try and quash the 'punishment'. It is ###### that the relevant info wasn't passed on to her though, think I'd be having a word with HT and/or SENCO re that. Hope next week isn't as bad as you expect!! luv Witsend. av16 Report post Posted October 13, 2007 Thanks for your comments- yes Witsend I will be having a chat with the HT & senco as the whole point of him writing out the information was to have it shared with all the staff. AV
