ScienceGeek Report post Posted January 3, 2008 So I want to bring this up with my GP, but I'm a little afraid that she will just tell me it is nonsense or me making things up. Either that or that there is nothing that can be done. I am already having treatment for another condition and everything else seems to get swept under the carpet. I should probably see her about my depression anyway. Just worried that is all. Any ideas of how I could approach her about it?
Mumble Report post Posted January 3, 2008 I thought someone at your uni had mentioned AS? In that case ask them to refer you to your disability Centre at the uni who should help with referal through GP.

Tally Report post Posted January 3, 2008 It's definitely worth mentioning that someone else suggested AS to you, and you only read about it in response to that. Sometimes doctors seem to think that people are looking for something to blame all their problems on, even though that is often not the case. It will look better and they are more likely to take you seriously.
