Tally Report post Posted January 28, 2009 I need a repair man to fix my oven as it has stopped heating up . . . while I had a cake in it My mum told me to call the electricity board and they will come out and fix it. She tells me this every time and every time they tell me they do not do electrical repairs I looked in the phone book under Cooker Servicing, but they are all based miles away. They are not going to come all the way here to replace an element. What kind of repair man do I need for an oven?
Moll Report post Posted January 29, 2009 A good electrician should do it also look under appliance service, I'm not exactly sure as my husband is a electrician and everyone calls him.

Mumble Report post Posted January 29, 2009 It depends how old it is - look in your appliance handbook and it should have telephone numbers etc - if they can't they might know a man (or woman) who can. If you don't have the appliance handbook and the cooker is quite old it might be time for a new one... (and potentially cheaper than lots of repairs over time). In the meantime, you'll just have to 'cook' chocolate refrigerator cakes - if you need someone to test them, I am available.
