Apolgies if this has already been posted but thought this may be of use or interest to someone. As automatically a child "in need" as stated in Childrens Act the following (as do other situations but not as relevant for this forum)

Children with a disability. That is a child with one of the following conditions:

 

E: a visual impairment

 

E: a mild to moderate communication impairment

 

E: a physical disability or chronic illness

 

E: a hearing impairment

 

E: a mild to moderate learning difficulty

 

E: a mental illness

 

F: Children with serious emotional or behavioural difficulties

 

G: Siblings of disabled children

Also for those parents who feel they are in a crisis situation check out your local camhs provide a rapid responce service
