faltskog5450 Report post Posted July 7, 2010 Hi, Does anyone know how long the results for the WISC test (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children) would remain valid. Ie. If a child just under the age of 7 had one done back in approx March 2007, would it still give a good representation of the child now when they are 10? Thanks Helen
Special_talent123 Report post Posted July 10, 2010 (edited) I had the welchers test as far as aware what they did with me to whether which team to fit on as I turned 18 it tests the persons IQ so this tells you if you have a learning disability and which team fit o. Person that has a IQ of 70 and below has a learning disabilty. The person with IQ of 70+ does not have a learning disability but doesn't fit the learning disability team. This sounds pathetic but the learning disability team of psychologist team only works with patients who are below 70. coolblue Report post Posted July 10, 2010 I wouldn't think it would give a useful reflection of the child's profile for more than a year. Children's development is very patchy and uneven and all sorts of changes could take place over three years, especially between the ages of 7 and 10 when a lot of cognitive changes and physical growth takes place. cb
