What happens next year residential home costs

Hi I just wondered what would happen next year, as I've been told by the social worker that when Glen is 18 he will have to pay some of his DLA towards his costs for the home. How does that work then if he isn't on DLA, as I have to ring up shortly to tell them he has gone into a home which I guess they will then stop his DLA. So what will happen next year how will I be able to claim it for him so that he can pay his costs to the home out of it or do the home themselves deal with claiming DLA on Glen's behalf?
