sylv Report post Posted June 28, 2005 Hi, My name is Sylvia, shortly everybody calls me Sylv. I am Mum to three sons but only my youngest has difficulties. He is 9 now and was dx ADD in another european country. Unfortunately they there have almost no knowledge about ADD or ASD and we got no real help. My sons first psychologist always said she thinks that N shows autistic traits. As my husband is british we moved back to the UK last November and N had his appointment with CAHMS last week because our GP referred him there because of ADD. The doctor there refers N now to a autism specialist he said, who has his own clinic as he noticed that Ni shows definitely autistic traits but he also said he is not the specialist for this. So much to our history. Thanks for listening!!! Sylv

sylv Report post Posted June 28, 2005 Thank you CarerQuie and Hectorhouse!!! I hope so too. We went a long way for coming to the result we have now and I know we will still have a long way to go. But for Nick is worth everything. He has Dyspraxia as well as Encopresis (he soils ) He is very sad about this and also training doesnt help, but also for this problem we got a referral and I just hope we get appointments soon...its not that I am impatient, I just cant wait now anymore. It is getting worse as well as he gets picked on in school. Thank you all for the replies let me feel much better.
