Lellynelly Report post Posted September 13, 2011 Hi all. My names Les and I'm mum to 2 boys - Z who is 16 and A who is 18. Z has autistic traits and processing disorder. A was diagnosed with Asperger's when he was 11. He found school tough at time but now has 9 GCSE's (Cs, Ds and 1 and 3 A levels (2 Ds and a C) He is soon to start a l;earning support course and currently works 2 days a week voluntarily at a local special school in a mixed year 3 and 4 class. He is going through a very difficult time at the moment as he realises the need to sign on for jobseekers allowance but finds the 'interviews' exceedingly stressful. He has had 2 so far and is due to actually 'sign-on' for the first time this week. so far my husband has accompanied him each time.
