Hanging by a thread Report post Posted September 18, 2011 Hi everyone, I'd love to join you all if that's ok, I was feeling a bit down(again) and found this forum and you all sound so lovely. I'm married with 3 sons, J is 19 nt and about to start uni, J is 17 nt and just started his 2nd year at college and then we have O. We have been seeing psychologists and peads since he was 3 and a half and they kept saying they were on the fence, but they have now decided to take his case to the scat panel , they are looking at ASD,anxiety issues,ADHD and dyspraxia. He does have 2 cousins who are diagnosed autistic. O has very little eye contact, he once sat through a whole 1 hour appt with a pead with his back to them, he is very ego-centric,doesn't really have any friends and certainly can't keep them, he is very argumentative and thinks he is always right, he likes things done his way and if we disagree he goes into massive meltdowns, he will only wear the colour blue or white and won't wear shorts (even if it's red hot), he collects tree sticks and lines them up on our drive wall and I could go on and on, but I love him to bits and am so proud of him, he gives me the best cuddles and kisses but nobody else. I am so looking forward to hearing from you and making new friends. take care everyone.xxx
