A new hypothesis for the mechanism of ASD (Autism and Asperger)

Recommended Posts

I've published a new hypothesis for ASD (Autism, Asperger). It's the first theory entirely consistent with all symptoms and manifestations commonly observed and with recent studies. You can find more info and the complete article at: http://pairal.net/asperger/dhe.php

There is also an introductory video in Vimeo

and in Youtube

I have also published a book that is also freely available in my web, but it's only in Spanish and in Catalan (http://pairal.net/asperger/llibre.php).

Interesting read.

I don't want to derail anything but I seem to remember that someone said/Wrote ADHD to be "the opposite" of ASD. Could it be just "hyperentropic" (changes etc. TOO easy)?

Shnoing:

Yes, there has to be another disorder corresponding to an hyperentropic brain, but I'm not sure if it can be ADHD or schizofrenia.

There is a different theory by Drs. Crespi and Badcock ("The Imprinted Brain") that consider autism and schizofrenia opposite disorders.

As the article explains (in section "Cognitive style" and Figure 2) cognitive style depends on the computational properties of the brain, and these are the consequence of their network architecture and synaptic activity, all of them having its origin in genetic and epigenetic causes. What is more important is that there isn't one genetic or epigenetic cause, but certain combinations that produce the hypoentropic dynamism. To explain it: what causes a good soccer player? There is no a unique cause, but a combination of them, some genetic, some not.
