stressedmumto2 Report post Posted November 24, 2005 Hi, does anyone know if there are any ways in which you can have your car windows adapted to stop child from opening them ? Also if anyone know's of any type of harness that I maybe able to use to keep him inside the car so that he can't get the seatbelt off. I have a child with adhd and traits of aspergers he climbs out of my car window as i'm pulling into my drive way and then runs off. Thanks
phasmid Report post Posted November 24, 2005 (edited) Remove the handle if hand operated. If electricaly operated undo the door panel and pull the wires off the motor! As for the seaatbelts...hmm. Thats a bit more difficult, you need to restrain him but you also need to be able to get him out easily too. I know 'Britax' used to make a 'rally' type 5 point harness that was hard enough for me to undo let alone the kids! Trouble is I don't know if they still make them. Try Halfords or perhaps the AA or RAC might be able to offer some help with that bit of your problem. Hope that helps Edited November 24, 2005 by phasmid
