katkin Report post Posted February 27, 2006 Zemanski I always thought the % of lefthanders was about 10% - about right if you have on average 3 lefties in a class of 30. But apparently lefthandedness is on the increase, partly it's thought due to the fact that children are allowed to decide their own "dominance" rather than being encouraged to use their right hand. Or maybe it is really just a subversive plot by us lefties to take over the world . handwriting is really hard for lefthanders. best I've ever done was when working as an LSA with a teacher who was also lefthanded and we worked really hard that year with the lefties, who somewhat surprisingly also were about 10 in that class out of 30.
