Deblegs Report post Posted July 4, 2006 Dear All I have just recently bought a book written by Wendy Lawson. It is called Friendships, The Aspie Way. It is really good and it has helped me a lot in many ways. I have been waiting for a book like this for ages. It is helping me to take a step back and see where I am with my friendships. Professionals have said that people with AS cannot have close friendships with anyone. How wrong they are. The book has helped me to see that I can have close friendships. I have 3 in fact. lil_me Report post Posted July 29, 2006 (edited) Oh I haven't got that, yet *off to look on Amazon* sounds like another great book from Wendy, haven't read one of hers that didn't make me think WOW after reading it. Also yes I agree with Wendy it is possible for people on the spectrum to have friends, I have met a few of Wendy's friends, they all speak very highly of her. Pleased to hear it's helped you <'> Edited July 29, 2006 by lil_me
