lancelot Report post Posted July 21, 2006 OK then. First, if you add together the two digits of a two-digit number and take it off the number you first though of, you always get a multiple of nine. [This is because a 2-digit number is 10x plus y , so if you take off x+y, you get 9x -- but anyhow, trust me on this or try it out.] All the multiples of 9 in the chart have the same symbol!
