JenRose Report post Posted August 17, 2006 We have asked to be rehoused in a council property. At the moment we own our home but it is really unsuitable for 2 reasons. Reason one is M who has AS, its on a busy street and he has absolutely no road sense whatsoever and we cannot let him play out without one of us keeping an eye on him and also it has no garden for him to play in. Reason 2 is our daughter has cerebral palsy and our bathroom is on the 2nd floor and its impossible to get her up there without carrying her. I have been told today that an Occupational Therapist is going to write to us and come and visit us, now i know what she is looking for in regards to my daughter but also she is going to carry out an assessment for M (nearly 10) and im not sure how this will proceed. Just wondering if anyone has had one of these to do with their childs ASD and if you could give me any info id be very grateful. Thanks
