  1. Hi

    It does take time.

My son was diagnosed when he was 2.5 years old and he is now 8. It took me a long time to come to terms with his diagnosis but I have got there.

I now focus on all the things he can do.

    You are not alone.

    Take care

  2. They are like that at my NT daughter nursery. I usually just stand there like a tube. And i am not in any of their groups of the yummy mummys!

My little angel is starting school in August so will see how that goes. However, i think it will be my hubby who will be doing the school run.

  3. hello

yes, i agree with the others that this is a personal choice.

My little boy goes to a special school for ASD children. I feel that this is the best place for him to go to and the difference in him is amazing. He also goes to an afterschool club with his one to one carer. This is with NT kids. This has not been without it's difficulties, however he has got alot out of it.

M learns from other kids but i personally feel that he would not have coped with a mainstream school. He also learns alot from his little sister.:wub::wub: They have a very strong bond.

  4. M is autistic and get the medium personal care rate. Hubby is a driving instructor and works about 20 hours a week so that he is there for M when he gets out of school etc. Hubby earns less than 95 a week.

I am currently working full time but I am just wondering if we are entitled to it?
