  10. I mostly lurk nowadays apart from joining in the fun in 'off topic'. I work with young people with severe learning difficulties and autism, i was introduced to the forum by an existing member who was doing the same on-line ASD uni course as me. I've learned a lot from all of you...both the positves and the negetives. Its certainly broadened my understanding of the issues people with autism or AS and there families face. If anything reading the boards has let me see that its not all doom and gloom and basically you are all just ordinary people sharing and helping each other out...cheering each other on. I dont post very often because I feel unqualified to advise, sympathize, or support because i havent been there and experienced what you have. But i'm cheering from the sidelines What comes across mostly on this forum is great sense of community,a respect for each other and a huge dollop of humour.
