Hi there, new here and have arrived with a few questions.
Put my DLA forms in 3 weeks ago for my 11 year old son who is currently going through the process of being diagnosed with aspergers. DLA phoned me today with a few questions and said I would get low rate carers as he dosnt get one to one at school (neither do other people I know who get middle rate but hey ho) but they will pay him the outside allowance as this is where he has problems.
Now myself and a friend (who also claims DLA and knows a bit about it) are both confused. By this do they mean he will get the motability part of DLA or will I just get carers part for him???
They are sending me it al out so I could just wait until then but am a bit puzzled by it all really.
