  1. Glad you got some positive stuff from the meeting JsMum. Our children never quite seem to fit in any of their boxes do they? So frustrating. They should use bubble wrap not boxes!

Its so  that we meet so many lovely people on our jounery towards helping our children. It just so :( that when we meet then, our kids cannot be helped by them for some reason or other. My first big one was that he doesn't get help because we only work with children that have a learning disability, next came the post code no one could agree what district we should seek support from because of 50 yards of road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Took 2 years for a social worker from one district which I think we should be with to arrive. In the mean time I kept phoning and pestering people from the other one and got my paediatrician, speech and OT from it, a year ahead of the other. Keep pestering and good luck.

  2. And do you have a wee sensory area (cushions, tent, tunnel, blankets) where he can retreat?

When we moved I covered the table with a big sheet and moved it into the living room. I put his favourite things inside and he spent a lot of time in there.

  3. TA has been given a large booklet to fill in throughout the full school day on performance and behavior of my DS in every class, for a member of the LEA.

The school have never been asked to do this before and are unsure as to what to do.

I do not feel comfortable with what is going on and can't see how my son's TA can carry out her duties helping DS while having to do so much paper work for someone else.

What is the meaning behind this and do I have the right to say that I am not happy.

Will this result in him losing his support? (Mainstream with full time support.)

Or being moved from the school.

    Very Worried!!!!!!!!!!
