  1. Thank you for all your reply's, just want to say she's still having problem's with her knee's can't bare much weight on

them, even though the cold weather as lifted. I have left it at the moment as she's taking some exam's and dislikes

going to see the GP. So i'm taking her and picking her up from college as much as i can in the mean time, I guess i

might wait until she ask's to see the GP, then it will be on her term's so to speak.

  2. T walked home from college the other day it's not to far but it was very cold, she went to bed when she got home as she

was tired and aching, when she got up her knee was swollen a little and her elbow was very painful also she couldn't put

any weight on her leg, I give her some pain killer's and put a support bandage around her knee. That was friday and now we

are on sunday she's not been outside the door as it's still very painful. She does have a DX of Hyper moblie joint's and

suffer's with painful joint's all the time, also uses a lap top for college as she can't write for very long.

Was just wondering if anyone else with HMJ was having any problem's with this cold weather?

  3. Hi Bluefish

Sometime's I wish i had a magic wand, not to change the person my daughter is but to be able to be more helpful to

her, as i know i get it wrong time and time again, she's a deep person and very passive, sometime this might sound

stange but i would like her to just have a tantrum or shout at me so i know how she feeling. But then i think i should

    know.

    Take care teresa

  4. Hi Kerry,

Welcome to the form, my daughter was dx with AS at the age of 10, she's 19 now and I must say having a dx when she was young was helpful, but when she reached 16, we found that there is very little support, maybe that's down to post code lottery not sure. Sound's like you just want to know either way, maybe that will help you put a lot of thing's to bed, so to speak.

    Good luck

    Teresa :)

  5. So not a good day for you Mumble, hope you managed to get what you needed, would be a shame having to go through all that and come away with nothing. I dislike shopping myself, did a bit today by the time I got home I looked like a snowman or should that be snowwoman

  6. Sound's lovely Tally, I am a little afraid of horses I must admit, when my daughter was little we had 2 shetland pony's which she would ride, and that's about the size i like  , I Hope the social group work out for you, I'll keep my finger's crossed for you.

    Good Luck

  7. Watch they don't try and give a big bill, as it will be classed as out of hour's, I once had a leaking tap which was about hmmm 10 years back cost me £70 back then, and he only tightened it, if I had the tool's I could have done it myself.

Hope you get it sorted either way.

  8. DLA renewals

The Department for Work and Pensions has introduced a shorter, four-page Disability Living Allowance (DLA) form for people coming up for renewal. It is being sent out three, rather than six, months before an award is due to end. Some say it does not allow people to give enough evidence about their condition, leading to refusal of benefit.

The above was sent to me via email, sorry if it's already been posted.

    Teresa :)
