  1. Good luck to you and your son with starting college hope all goes wel :).

T goes in tomorrow to enroll on her courses AS Japanese and Art A2, she's very sad at the moment as she didn't get the grade she needs in english langauge, have spoken to her teacher and he doesn't understand it either, he said she is better off doing maybe 2 resits but if this is the case she will not have a teacher support. T said she want's to redo the A2 english lang year again, but he's told her it's a different syllabus. So not sure what she's going to do, I'm going to try and get her some support, she's had more panic attacks this year then any other and missed a lot of classes, also if the classroom is full she wont enter and thats another lesson missed, and she won't ask for help as she finds the teachers intemadating.

  2. The Big Care Debate goes on tour

The Big Care Debate goes on the road this week, with Derby hosting the first public consultation roadshow.

Between now and mid November, members of the public will get the opportunity to join the debate on the future of care and support in England through a series of events held in town centres and at other public events around the country.

The first will take place in Derby Market Place. The Big Care Debate wagon will set up for three days, where people will have the chance to respond to the reform options set out in the Green Paper Shaping the Future of Care Together in a variety of ways.

There will be a seating area where people can watch information videos and talk to Big Care Debate representatives, and a 1-2-1 area for those wishing to give their response in private.

They can fill in the Big Care Questionnaire, or add their comments on this website, via a touch screen computer system.

For those with less time to engage, there will be paper copies of the Big Care Questionnaire, our public leaflets and postcards. These can be filled in on the spot or taken away and posted later.

The roadshows are a key part of the Government’s plan to engage with a range of stakeholders and citizens across England. This will help raise awareness of the issues contained in the Green Paper, and allow people to have their say on the major issues around reform of the adult care and support system and the creation of a new National Care Service.

Dont know if anyone has seen this.

  3. Thanks for that rang today it is covered but first T has to send a letter saying that it is on lone and she is responsible for it outside of college also it's worth. The cover is for in the home only not outside, ie: taking to and bring from college, so not sure about that.

  6. I know what your saying and understand etc, but it's not that she is not included with what's going on, but can't understand why anyone would not want to drink and not be in control. She did say that when she has a panic attack and can not control it, why on earth would she want to drink something, that might make her feel the same way.

  7. She had a great time said she enjoyed the freedom, which is great so big  need's to do more. Down side is that she said she could see how different she was from her friends, they like to have a drink, and do silly things that she found embrassing etc, she dislikes it when people drink as they become unpredictable , and was shocked that just her and one other person were t-total.

  8. I'm by myself and not sure what to do so having a glass of wine, have cleaned the house from top to bottom today, T went away on friday and is back on monday gone with friends, i know she's going to be fine, I asked her to text me when she gets back to the hotel at nite, and just got that text " the hotel is always boiling", and thats it. She did take a fan with her so sent a text back to remind her about it, boy do i miss her. I know i have to let go but it's hard, i'm happy she is able to do what she is doing and have friends who will look out for her.
