People always comment on how my son sounds posh or american! I didn't realise it was common with aspergers/asd until it was pointed out when he was diagnosed last week! I've always been aware he doesn't sound like my friend's kids, but I didn't think much of it.

It is quite soppy, but I actually liked it!

Hi, just thought I'd say hello to everyone as I've just joined here. My son (age 4) has just been diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome, I actually found this website in the back of a booklet I was given after he was diagnosed! We live in Edinburgh and I have to say, even before he was diagnosed, the support he's had from various services has been really good. The hardest part was getting the health visitor to take notice that something wasn't right! It was only after geting excluded from nursery last december that it was taken seriously. So he's due to start a new nursery after the summer holidays Anyway, just thought I'd introduce myself a little bit, hope to get to know everyone!
