hi im from cardiff and my son J who is 4 is going through the statement process. his SN are characterised as Aspergers traits, although we have not recieved a diagnosis yet. we are being seen by CAMHS awaiting a 3rd meeting with them.

Js behavourial problems include poor social skills, anger and aggresion. these are the areas that are a problem. all the other traits J has eg regid diet, obsessions, to name but a few, are manageable and just add to their character.

J attends school for mornings only with a 1:1 LSA brought in by the Behavioural Support Group. the MS school he attends cannot provide a LSA all day, and they feel he couldnt cope with it either.

day to day life can be stressful, but its not without its rewards. although J can hurt people without a second thought, he can also be a very loving, happy boy.

J had his diagnosis in Dec, things havent really changed lol
