  1. Just wondered how many of our children do/did this? DD1 has an dx of ASD but DD2 shows some signs aswell. She is terrible for sitting like this but im unclear if its another asd trait. TIA
  2. I would def try GP first, from what I hear some places feel private dx does not carry as much weight and therefore are less likely to add support needed. We didnt have any trouble with getting GP to refer but waiting lists are long and its a tough road to drive. HTH
  3. we have 2 books in our house, one called "where willy went" and the second is "mummy laid am egg". they are wonderful and highly recommended especially for young ones. HTH
  4. well we tried preschool/nursery for her and was a terrible time. She spent 45mins at the sand tray with no one talking to her at all, and anytime the kids came near her she would push them over! she normally isnt like that and was getting so upset when it came time to change to another room, we ended up pulling her out. Going to start ball rolling next week I think. thanks for kind welcome
  5. My names Lisa and I have 2 little girls. tanisha is 7 this week and Jasmine (Jaz ) is 2 1/2. Im married to their dad Darren, who is not very well either atm. Tanisha was dx with ASD in June although we have an informal dx which we didnt know what cause so much of a struggle. Jaz has started displaying signs of ASD, and not the same as her sister, so will be working though that in the next few weeks. Hope I can get something useful here and maybe talk to people who understnad. Lisa
