  1. Hi Sally, I know that many people feel that they can't home educate but often when they do in desperation, like you are at the moment, they find that things are a lot easier than they thought. Which would be more of a waste of his life, being in this terrible situation where you, he and the rest of the family are very stressed, or waving goodbye to all that and home educating. Don't forget it doesn't mean that you have to do it forever, it might just be for a few years, or even less, until either he matures or you find a better school, or you might find that it suits you so well that you carry on. But it might not be the sacrifice you think it is. It may turn out to be just the thing for you and the family. Have you heard of he-special.org.uk? They have an email list and I can't remember the last time someone said that de-registering their child was a mistake, but there are plenty of people that say that they had wished they did it sooner. As one of the moderators there used to say, come on in, the water's fine!
