  1. I did my theory test on the 12th and I passed it first time round I'm so chuffed I only got 2 questions wrong for the theory/ multiple choice part of the test My oldest brother has tried to pass 3 times now and he is not amused that I passed before him. I did study hard for it though, so I believe I deserve it. The night before I took a few calms and rescue remedy to calm me down, as I get rather nervous about tests.... and it seems to help me a lot. At 9PM the night before the test I was getting the items that I would need for the test prepared and I discovered that I had the wrong paper document (I had the out of date one with previous address) I was freaking out as I needed the document to be able to do the tests. Hours later and at 1am I eventually found the correct document. ARggggggg lol I shall be on the roads soon
  2. I have 2 brothers and they haven't got a diagnosis for anything. When one of my brothers was about 15/16 my mum asked him to get toilet role from the shop. She told him that it should be round about a pound (was on special offer) The shop is only about 10 minutes walk away, however an hour later he came back empty handed.... He told us that he couldn't find a toilet role that was called round about... so he didn't get anything.
  3. I'm 21 with AS and i went to a mainstream school. I did HNC photogrpahy and HNC animal care at college. I totally addore animals, i seem to "click" with them more than people. As a result i have been looking for an animal related job.... a few months after finishing my AC college course i asked to volunteer at a groomers and all is good and i think i might have a job their too. Another thing is the people that work at the dog groomers/ kennels seem to be like me, so we get on well. Does your son have any intrests, where he could volunteer his time.... get more experience and gain some more confidence...?
  4. Ye it also helped me pass my major exam at college, which covered everything i had learnt that year. It's amazing stuff. I'll use lots when i go to do my theory test on Tuesday, hope my nervous don't get the better of me. lol
  5. I use rescue remedy when i am nervous.... about something. It seems to help
  6. This si something a dread for future jobs.... So glad it went so well for you though!
  7. Thanks all. i know it might sound strange for some people, but just the thought of being late in incidents such as the above really wind me up, i can become so grumpy...... rescue remidy is amazing stuff, even though it tasts horrible lol does anybody else use it?
  8. At the moment I have been studying animal care at college at HNC level. I would personally say that I relate to animals more than I do people and that’s probably why I want to work with them in the future..... Since September I have had between 1-3 tests each week and it is all most over, we only have a few more little tests to do with regards to animals. Last week I did an exam which determined if I passed the course or not, I had done a lot of studying previously and I was confident but nervous about the whole thing. on the day of the exam I made sure I left the house a few hours early so I would be at college on time, I need to get three buses to college and to cut a long story short the 3rd bus was late, resulting in me nearly being late for the exam. I had to get a taxi and it cost me 10 pounds. I got there in the end. As a result of my difficulties I would have been fuming and probably would have been unable to even focus because would have been so wound up. For the past few days I had been taking some rescue remedy and I really thing it did the job. I couldn't believe how calm I was considering. I found out today that I passed my exam and I got a B and a few % away from an A, which I am chuffed with. A few years ago I wouldn’t even have thought that I would be able to achieve what I did
  9. I watched this and i thought it was good although i felt the driving structer was a bit over bearing on the program, but that could be a result of the angles of the cameras.... i hope to start driving lessons again and pass my test, it would make life so much easier! At the momenti have to get six buses to be able to go and get back from college.
  10. Hello all, my name is Robyn. I was diagnosed with asperger syndrome a week or so before my 18th birthday, i will be 21 in a few months. I also have a list of other difficulties that makes me unique lol i went to a main stream school and it wasn't until i was in my last year that the school actually helped me for exams....this was before the asperger dyagnosis. I have previously done HNC Photography which i passed and i am currently studying HNC animal care at college. My test which determins if i have passed teh course is on Wednesdaya d i am rather nervious about it. I even bought some rescue remidy to calm my nerves down. I have done lots of tests throughout the course, from 1 - 3 tests each week and i have only had to re-site 2 of them, i had only missed the pass mark by one mark which is a shame. I am actually surprised how well i am doing, might be because animals are my favourite intrests!
