  1. aka A-S warrior, (its nice to drop the act sometimes) join me on a journey through space to strange and exotic places. i am your forum astronuaut and warrior. allow me to spark your immagionation with pictures i have brought back from my travels,

    *this is for entertainment only*

here was my trip to europa, it was quite chilly but stayed long enough to get this shot of jupiter

  2. im just going to add a typical aspergers trate that i found on aspergers.me.uk. and that is asperger sufferers have "Have heightened sensitivity" ;) let me tell you given the right time, right senario, right place this is a very, very, very good thing to have. just the feeling of finger nails running down my back is ahem! ive said quite enough but you get what i mean lol. but! it can also be a burden, when i got my tattoo done it diddnt bother me, what bothered me was the 5 days of the nagging urge to itch. i really suffered with that. so this trate is a bit of a 50/50 split. it depends how you look at it.

  3. This is what the Sun might look like before it blows:

    Nucleosynthesis_in_a_star.gif

Key to elements (lightest to heaviest)

    H - Hydrogen

    He - Helium

    C - Carbon

    O - Oxygen

    Ne - Neon

    Mg - Magnesium

    Si - Silicon

    S - Sulphur

    Ni - Nickel

Fe - Iron, the last element the Sun will create before exploding.

When the Sun does explode, it will take the whole Solar System with it. It will also spew the elements inside of it out into space, and the hydrogen (and dust) that is left will form a nebula; the birth place for the new 'Sun' or more stars.

that was a good post, ive seen a few artist impressions of what the sun will look like in the sky at this stage, it will look awsome but unforunetley i will be long dead and my ashes will be re cremated! i might post up a few pics myself.

  4. i rember my mum trying to get me into a school that used to make learning more practical, they used to mix p.e lessons and english together so you were getting a 2 prong learning objective. and i think because it was structred in such a way the school day was only like 3 hours (not sure if my memorys correct on that one) this was like 2002 mind you so im not sure if schools like this are still around. i actully rember being offered a place but i opted for main stream school. on a social note best decision i made, on an accademic note awful choice, my education suffered big time. but anyway i would do some reaserch on your possabilitys, and if you think you have found a place you want to send you son then appeal, appeal, appeal!!! and keep hounding pepole and keep fighting the fight. never take no for an awnser, your son has a right to a good education, his difficulties arnt his fault, its the schhols for not being able to accomidate for him. so do some reaserch on your options, and if it means moving away to give your son the best education than do what ever you have to do. from what ive gathered from your posts you defonetley have a case. so never take no for an awnser

  5. well we are discovering many distant galaxys that have simular earth like planets all the time, i wouldnt rule out a potental new home planet. do i belive in aliens? naaah, but i do belive in a suitable new planet to migrate to. some alterations would have to be made to make it 100% liveable i.e tinker with certain ratios of elements in the atomosphere, and that leads me again to my origanal post, would futre humans have the technology to pull this off? im sure if i was to ask some of the more mutre members on here, did you ever immagion being able to do your weekly shop on your iphones in your lunch break? or talking to a guy in ausralia on your laptop when you were younger? the pace at witch our technoligy grows is staggering, im 21 and rember my nokia 3210 and that was only 10 years ago! now we have all these crazy phones with all sorts of gagets, so if in 10 years we went from black and white pixel screens to watching movies in h-d on your mobile think what we can acomplish in a billion years from now, (thats provided we,re not wiped out by then, not even the dinosaurs lived that long so we have a challange keeping our spices alive)

  6. I agree with darkshine - we'll either have become extinct, or humanity will have found a way to colonise nearby solar systems.

As to the Sun becoming a red giant and then exploding, we can't really stop that - the Sun is 1,000 times the size of the Earth, and because of the way it creates energy (from nuclear fusion) it will fuse heavier elements as the star ages - each fusion requires more and more energy, and by the time the Sun tries to fuse iron, the amount of energy needed to fuse will probably exceed the amount of energy given off in heat and light.

Currently, the Sun is fusing hydrogen- 1, so two hydrogen-1 atoms fuse to make a helium-2.

Helium fuses to make beryllium, beryllium fuses to make oxygen, etc etc. I'm not an expert on fusion, but the periodic table of elements can help to explain the elements and their atomic masses (their atomic numbers). I'm also a chemistry fan.

ahhhhh intelligent convosation i love it, i hope this topic has some miles in it, i love this kind of talk.

  7. Oh ok - dyslexia is a bummer at times, I've had a few friends with it, as I've gone through life - amazing how it effects people differently.

I wouldn't worry about being unpopular - if you'd have seen some of the events of last year you'd realise the reactions to your posts are pretty mild, your doing ok I reckon

What do you think of my take on your examples? I know that my replies don't mean these things are disabilities, but they can disable in a different way (a way that isn't as severe as outright disability and more a way that stops someone from doing something in a different way) I don't know if that will make sense as the difference is subtle and I can't explain it better.

i think there fair and valid, mine are over the top positve and a bit biased lol (if im honest) again part of my learning is leaning balance, your examples are more universaly exepted and realistic. what i need to do in futre posts is learn a happy medium, not for popularity but to improve pepoles understanding of what im saying, i forget that there was a time were i was very negative about aspergers, and i need to tap into that old part of me and pretend it is me reading my posts as a negative me. i think finding a happy medium is the way to go, i,ll take on board your very valid examples and apply that to futre posts, because i think my over the top positivity is bringing pepole down and thats the oppisite of what im trying to do. as i have heard before too much of anything is bad, even if its a good thing.

  8. everyone we all have our own opinions mine and warriors see it is a gift. MY view of GIFT is that I have and myself have talent in areas that others have difficulty with. 'Art and Singing' is one. I can sing, and so can my friend but she broke her communication barrier but she uses her singing to help her communicate. she and I have been awarded things for our 'TALENTS' and 'AWARENESS' and 'ACHIEVEMENTS'

it can take time for some pepole to accept it like we do, i wont give up on them.

  9. 5 billion years from now the sun will swell up to 1000 times its present size and become a red giant star, it will vaporise mercery and venus and bake earth. in less than 1 billion years this phase of the suns life will begin, earths seas will evaporate into space and earth will become hot and dry. earth at this stage will be very simular to venus. even our most distant planet pluto will become unbearabley hot. the question is can futre humans save the sun? can we perhaps refuel the sun and top up it hydorgen levels? thus saving the sun from using other fuels causing the sun to expand in this way? or will we migrate to a simular earth like planet? or will we have the heat and radiation resistance capabillitys to withstand the heat? and then plant a new sun in space? let me know what you think..

  10. this was me back in 2000 i was a 10 year old boy that refused to work, i wanted to but large classrooms distracted me. every single pin drop distrcacted me and would find any excuse to put of doing any work. what i needed was 1 to 1 learning in a quiet class room with a teacher i had a good relationship with. i would get the lesson objective from the teacher and i was put in a seperate room and was given a 1 to 1 lesson. with lessons like science, geograthy, and history i diddnt need this tactic as i was motivated by the subjects and contributed to the lesson well. but with my troble areas i had 1 to 1 with no distractions. every pupil deserves a certain standard of learning, if they are not learning that the school isnt doing there job.

  11. @darkshire one of the negatives i have is dyslexia, large amounts of text can sometimes stump me and i lose track. not that i ignored you i just diddnt want to respond and look foolish because my eyes can miss whole paragraphs and hence miss key words. i absorbed enough of your last post to get the gist of what you were saying. i said before that maybe my somewhat insanely positively driven mindset needs a bit of disapline sometimes. i go overboard with my passion (with basicly every aspect of my life) and should probably taper it down, chances are i wont because its my nature. i will always try to turn a negative into a positive, and i gues im hoping that will rub off on others. i know full well the negatives, i was diagnosed at 5 years old and have learned first hand what a problem they can cause. but it doesnt mean we have to view them as negatives, i view them as devolping points. i diddnt feel your post was being just flat out unpleasent thats what i ment when i said to the pepole who do respond in this way to just not read! a fair debate however im all for. the bottom line is i will continue with my mission but take on board and consider what others are saying in reasponse to me, the most succsessful pepole in the world are the ones that are humble and willing to learn with an open mind. i wont give up doing this. this i what i joined this forum for to spread my word and get feedback. and i wasnt expecting pepole to like my positve attitude i was expecting alot of dislike and that was what i got. but as unpopular as i may be i know that im just starting to help pepole and some are hanging on my word. its not an easy job working with negative pepole and trying to turn them around and make them feel content with there aspergers, but i wont give up on pepole that need help, like i said even if all this effort im putting in only helps 1 person live a slightly improved life then all my hard work was worth it. but bear in mind my mission has only just begun.

  12. here we go, A-S warriors ever debatable analysis once again. rember this is from my perspective, so pepole that are getting upset either start your own thread or dont read mine. if you cant respect my opinion and be civil with me then please dont post, debate with me fine but dont rule it out.

    ok anyway,

here is the list of common symptoms of aspergers that i have copied and pasted, my replys are in capitals

"Asperger suffers can be preoccupied with only one or few interests, which he or she may be very knowledgeable about. Many pepole with Asperger's syndrome are overly interested in parts of a whole or in unusual activities, such as designing houses, drawing highly detailed scenes, or studying astronomy. They may show an unusual interest in certain topics such as snakes, names of stars, or dinosaurs". - HAHA YOU KIDDING ME? WHY IS THIS A DISABILITY?

"Avoid eye contact or stare at others." - YEAH BECAUSE ITS RUDE, AND MILDLY INTIMIDATING FOR PEPOLE.

"Have unusual facial expressions or postures". - INDIVDUALITY? CARISMA? ENTERTAINING GIVEN THE RIGHT OCCASION? WHY IS IT A DISABILITY BREAKING THE MOULD?

Not pick up on social cues and may lack inborn social skills, such as being able to read others' body language, start or maintain a conversation, and take turns talking. - ALOT OF WHAT PEPOLE SAY IS USELESS SMALL TALK ANYWAY AND PREVENTS GETTING THE JOB THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE, DONE! ALSO THESE ARE TRAITS THAT MAKE THE BEST DOCTORS AND SURGENS AS WE KEEP OUR PERSONAL ISSUES TO OURSELVES AND GET ON WITH THE TASK IN HAND. AND IF WHAT WE HAVE TO SAY IS IMPORTANT THAN WE HAVE TO CUT IN ON A CONVOSATION.

"Appear to lack empathy". - STOP CRYING, AND GET ON WITH WHAT YOUR MENT TO BE GETTING ON WITH, AND STOP WASTING TIME. HARSH? YES BUT IN THIS WORLD SOMETIMES PEPOLE HAVE TO SUCK IT UP AND SOILDER ON. AGAIN A TRAIT THAT THE BEST DOCTORS AND SURGENS HAVE.

"Talk a lot, usually about a favorite subject. One-sided conversations are common. Internal thoughts are often verbalized". - DEDICATION? DETERMINATION? PASSION? DRIVE? OPTIMISUM? ZONED IN? ALL TRAITS THAT NORMAL PEPOLE ARE LACKING, BIG TIME!

those are a few to chew on for now, i,ll find more and respond to them. basicly i see aspergers as a ratio, for every 1 disability i find 4 abilitys to counter them.

again if you disagree just disagree, you dont have to write off my opinion. im up for a debate and a challange but dont be one of those pepole that go out there own way to try and debunk my opinion. rember im one of you too, i come here to experiment some of my theorys and ideas. im young and keen to help make fellow asperger sufferers more positive, i was diagnosed early in life and had the help, my goal is to attempt to pass on that help to the pepole that wernt as fortunate as myself. im here to help not to argue and get aggressive.

  13. A-S Warrier. Awesome photographer...?! Thanks but where did you hear that?

im have alot of confidence in pepole with aspegers being good at something they enjoy doing that i feel i can go out on a limb and hazard a gues, and i feel thats a universal trate with a-s suffers. im sure i,ll be contradicted by someone in the next post but thats my therory on it.

  14. Hi Aeolienne

I certainly don't have supreme intelligence either. In fact I have very poor reading comprehension

Until I was 33, I suffered acute loneliness and thought I would remain a batchelor forever. So chin up girl - never give up hope

ah! but you do rob! maybe not acidemicly (can you tell from my spelling neither am i) but ive heard on the grapevine your an awsome photographer ;-P

  15. @ darkshire,

well, well, well, yeah lol. im many things but perfect im am not. basicly my faith in god has helped go along way into helping with it. it will always be there though, its part and parcel of who i am. i still have tendencys like washing out my glass 7 times, doing things in 3,s and never walking over drains. i smashed a mirror once and nearly had a breakdown.

  16. pepole thanking me out of context, forinstance, when ive been turned down for a job i really wanted and it feels like my heart just hit my lower intestine, they say thankyou for your interest in our company, im like dont f*ing thank me!!!! you just destroyed me and now your thanking me!!!! go and play in the traffic you snidey little ass licker! honestly! talk about sticking the knife in a wound and rubbing lemon juice on it!

  17. meltdown hmmm, back in 1999 i saw some kid with a massive nosebleed, it was like he had his head cut off it was that bad, all i rember was feeling like i was falling asleep and i was seeing flashing lights and everything went dark, i rember waking up and thinking i was late for a maths lesson, i was still coming too i diddnt really know where i was and i heard a familuar voice talking it was the assistant head teacher carrying me out of a packed assembley hall i thought i was in trouble and i was going to get told off, it wasnt until i was in the medical room that i realised where i was and what had happend, the same thing happened a week later, and i had many tests done at hospital i was diagnosed with a right sided abnormality in my brain, it caused panic attacks, extreme outburts of physical violence and epileptic fits. i also have a-s (obviously) so im wondering if these melt downs are linked with these abnormalitys and aspergers. and if its comomon place with a-s sufferers to have right sided abnormalitys, slightly off topic but it saved me starting a new thread.
