Well, my remedy for stress seems to be training my dog as when I was getting ready to go and get her, my mood started to lift again and when I'm training her, I forget about everything else. I'm going to let the troubles with the manager go for now and just enjoy my holiday and I'll see how it goes. I feel better today. I really think an animal companion at work would benefit me but such a service for adults is not available at the moment, and I can't train one of my own dogs for it as they're too old.

I am leaving for a holiday on Sunday but I just can't lift this low mood I've got today. I think its because we had a heavy work load yesterday and my manager would not leave us alone, asking us to get on with it all the time. Hopefully this week's holiday will do me good but I hate feeling like this.

Oh the screeching ones this year were actually giving me ear ache.

Windows 8 is supposed to be completely different from windows 7, I'm happy with windows 7 for now with my older laptop still running Vista.

I have to wait for my eyes to adjust sometimes as I walk out of my office building after 7 and a bit hours, I get a brief headache and everything.

Well if they're safe for a dog, surely they're safe for a 4 year old? Try half a tablet to be on the safe side?

I can relate to that - having to have stuff out on my desk so I knew where everything was. I have a box now which I keep everything in so that helps.

You can get herbal remedies that aid sleep, mum uses kalms for the dog during fireworks. Doesn't send her to sleep but it makes her settle down quicker afterwards.

Yeah, I used to line up playmobile people in lines, definitely ASD trait.

Oh yeah pantomines are the worst for bangs. I can cope with films though and tv.

You've hit the nail on the head there, laser shows would be fantastic.

I've never liked fireworks from a kid, I wonder if its the hearing sensitivity that causes me to hate them?

when I broke my humerus falling off a horse, I did feel pain, but TBH the shock overtook my body so quickly my brain became foggy (to the point that I was almost fainting) and then after that once my arm was in a sling I didn't feel a lot of pain. Probably the adrenaline going through my body was an effective pain killer as I only needed oral morphine once and then I was on codeine for the next few days but only needed it about once a day. I couldn't eat the meal my mum made me that night as the shock was still present in my body and obviously my stomach wasn't ready to take a lot of food.

I am short sighted, think I get it off my dad as he's quite bad. But I can function in the house without my glasses ok, I just wear them when I'm out and about and driving.

I have very recently developed psoriasis on my left foot so I'm regularly soaking my feet in warm water with tea tree oil for moisture as well as steroid cream in the morning and a bit of E45 moisturising cream straight after the bath. I think its very relaxing too though, I wonder if this might actually help my as symptoms? I've been mellow and relaxed this month but only a couple of months before I was going through a mini depression state of no apparent reason why.

I'm the total opposite, I love a shower. I don't imagine anyone would like water up the nose or in the eyes anyway, but I don't have to stick my face under it anyway.

He did very well at the first live show, showed no signs of nerves.

I just couldn't follow the french exams at GCSE, had no idea what I was doing, particularly in the listening exam. I was ok at coursework, and funnily enough, the speaking exam.

I find my electric shower is consistent, and very useful if the boiler decides to pack up, like mine has done today.

My two are fine off lead, its other dogs and people that are the problem. Nervous people actually make Amber more nervous (although she'll never bite).

Yeah, I used to line up playmobile figures, I had barbie dolls, and both me and sister had puppy in my pocket toys. I remember I had ker plunk, and hungry hippos games. I also had the operation game which used to make me jump a bit.

Its difficult for me to maintain eye contact when talking to people at the best of times, least of all across a table. I get away with it by looking at a different part of the face or body. It doesn't sound like they know what they're dealing with here by making these threats.

Uneven ground is worst for me, I once went down with a bang over a hidden tree root when walking around Cragside (national trust property) and slightly sprained my wrist as I landed on it. I go dog training in an indoor riding school and proper running I can cope with on the soft ground, but if I just speed up to a fast walk I can trip over my feet.

I had a crisis of confidence today when usually spatial awareness is ok, but I was convinced I couldn't get past a parked car that was parked just slightly crooked so it looked to me like I couldn't get past because there was also a parked car opposite. Was almost going to call dad to come down before the guy suddenly turned up and drove off so all was well.
going out tonight for work xmas meal

I've got one in about two weeks time, I've paid my £5 deposit so all I need to do is to give my colleague whose organising it £10 before we go, which I like, then I've offered to give some a lift so at least I'll get accompanied to the meal with familiar people as I don't really know the venue, although I know exactly where I'm parking.
