Hi this is the first time i have done this but i just cant seem to find the answers to all the questions i have buzzing around in my head. My 6yr old son was diagnosed with adhd about 6mths ago and i am positive that he has an asd for which i am waiting for an assesment, i have looked up on this for quite sometime now and was wondering what anyone thought.
K has been this way all his life but unless you know what your looking for it would definately go unmissed as it did until someone made a comment, at first i passed it off saying theres nothing wrong with my son how dare they, but i started to notice odd things which i hadnt noticed before.
K talks to himself almost all the time, he spends all his time in his bedroom, and doesnt like to play outside.
He will play on his computer allday he doesnt come down for food and if you tell him to he gets really vicous for more of a better word.He hardly never makes eye contact if he does its maybe for 10 secs if that, you cant hold a conversation with him or ask him things all he says is he doesnt know, although he will talk to you non stop if its about his films or games which he is obssesed with, he has been kept back already 1yr in school and needs support with all his work for his learning difficulties.
I find it really hard to try and help him when i dont know what is going on inside his head or how hes feeling.
He gets bullied in school and spends his break times alone.
do you think i could be right????????????
