we have an open fire in our middle room, which we light when it gets cold, he's always ben fascinated with fire but its the fact that he was quite annimated by it, i've moved all lighters and matches out of sight, we've got him a bubble light that changes colour, we filled it and turned it on today and he said the red light was like fire , hopefully this will do the trick.

new here, our son (8) has been diagnosed with HFA alongside ADHD, we've noticed that he has got very excited with fire and gets very annimated especially when there are flames. We are quite worried about this, we've told him about the safety side, but we're worried that his need for the sensory stimulation will over ride the safety. We have been given a social story and have also been given a bubble lamp that changes colour. Any advice or help would be great thanks xx

Hi I'm new on here, my son (8) has been diagnosed with High Functioning Autism, he also has ADHD ( on straterra), We've got a meeting at his school tomorrow to discuss how school can can help him, he is achieving accademically its the sensory and social side thats the problem, can anyone help with advice on what helps there child and what we can ask for. I sort of expecting to be fobbed off a bit as we were with the ADHD side of things, Any help appreciated[
